Georgia Guidestones Predict the Big One in 2025

 The Georgia Guidestones were a granite monument erected in 1980 in Elbert County, Georgia, United States. They were commissioned by a person using the pseudonym R.C. Christian in 1979, who financed their construction as well as the land they occupied before their demolition, after which nothing has been heard from him. Today, nothing is known about his whereabouts.


The sculpture had ten guides inscribed in eight modern languages and a short message at the top in four ancient scripts. It stood six meters high and was made of six granite slabs with a total weight of 100 tons. They were aligned according to astronomical criteria. A short distance from the structure, to the west, is an additional slab that contains notes on the history and objectives.

On July 6, 2022, the monument was partially destroyed. Some initial reports say it may have been a detonation. Later that same day, local authorities demolished the remaining parts of the structure.

The message carved on the slabs is a set of principles in eight languages, one on each face of the four major slabs. Moving clockwise, the languages are English, Spanish, Swahili, Hindi, Hebrew, Arabic, Classical Chinese, and Russian.

The message in Spanish consists of 31 lines with 10 phrases mirroring the text in English.

As can be seen in the original carving, the expressions used come from a literal translation from English and may not seem very natural in Spanish, although some are not strictly incorrect according to the RAE.

On the vertical surfaces of the upper horizontal stone, there is a shorter message in Babylonian cuneiform (north), Classical Greek (east), Sanskrit (south), and Egyptian hieroglyphics (west): Let these be the principles of an Age of Reason.

The Guide Stone

About 4 meters from the main monument, there is a stone slab that describes the structure of the Guidestones. It details the following information:

  • The message "Georgia Guidestones, erected on March 22, 1980" (44 years ago).

  • The languages found on the sides of the projecting stones.

Below this, there is a drawing of the monument seen from above, with markers indicating certain features. To the left of this, the text continues:

  • "The monument is located at the highest point in Elbert County."

  • "On equinox or solstice, visitors standing west of the slot can see the sunrise on the horizon."

  • "The North Star can be seen through the slot in the center stone."
